Bailey Gattis
2021 Title HolderYou are standing on stage, your heart is racing, and your palms are sweating. You hear your name called, and then the stage lights hit you. At that moment you are overwhelmed with a sense of pride, shock, and the emotional realization that years of hard work and dedication just paid off. You don’t mean to but you start crying. Ugly crying even. Can you picture it? That moment could be yours, and that queen could be you!
That dream became a reality for Bailey Gattis, July 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bailey didn’t grow up competing in pageants like many women in the industry. It wasn’t until age 25, and year 2015, that Bailey entered her very first pageant. Regency International was only the second system she ever competed in. The year was 2016 and Bailey was still very new to pageants. Regency International didn’t care. They took her in and accepted her into the sisterhood immediately. Bailey also went on to compete for the prestigious title of Miss Texas USA in November of 2016. Regency held a special place in her heart though, and she kept coming back because Regency became family.
Bailey was born and raised in Austin, Texas. An avid animal lover, she owns three dogs and two horses currently. She graduated with a 4.0 GPA, and obtained her degree in Veterinary Assisting, in 2014 from Ashworth College based out of Georgia. In addition to her background as a veterinary technician, Bailey is also a proud entrepreneur and business owner. Any chance she gets she loves traveling, fashion design, reading, volunteering within her community, pageants, and growing in her relationship with God.
Bailey is passionate about helping those with disabilities. A type 1 diabetic and epileptic herself, she strives to break the barriers placed on those with health concerns and disabilities and to show others that they can do the same.
“You are not defined by physical or medical limitations. You are a person outside of your struggles, with hopes, and dreams, and goals. That is the you that the world needs to see. That is the you that the world needs you to be.” xoxo ~B
It was through these beliefs that Bailey started being an advocate for a practice called Hippotherapy, and her platform “Healing Through Horses” was born. Hippotherapy uses the motion of the horse’s gait to help aid in physical therapy, most commonly for differently-abled children and military veterans. She is currently working on creating a second platform surrounding the awareness of type 1 diabetes in pageants, and everyday life. Stay tuned!
Bailey is so excited to be on this journey, to see what this year has in store, and proud to represent the Regency International Pageant system as Ms. Regency International 2021!
